Why BRIDGE exists

Responding to urgent legal needs across Florida with affordable and trustworthy support.

Florida is home to one of the fastest-growing immigrant populations in the United States, including a large and rapidly expanding Venezuelan and broader Latin American community. Many immigrant families arrive seeking protection, stability, and opportunity, yet face a complex immigration system that is difficult to navigate without qualified legal assistance.

Demand for immigration legal services, particularly for asylum, humanitarian protections, family petitions, and work authorization, has increased significantly in recent years. Unfortunately, access to affordable and trustworthy legal support remains extremely limited for many low-income families.

As a result, thousands of immigrants must navigate life-altering legal processes without guidance, placing them at risk of mistakes, exploitation, and immigration fraud. BRIDGE helps close this gap by providing trusted, community-based immigration legal services and education that empower immigrant families to understand and exercise their rights under U.S. law.

  • Limited access to affordable immigration legal representation
  • High demand for asylum and humanitarian protection services
  • Complex and constantly changing immigration policies
  • Language barriers and limited access to reliable legal information
  • Widespread immigration fraud and “notario” scams that exploit vulnerable families
The need for trusted, regulated, nonprofit immigration service providers has never been greater.
